Waveland - Mrs. Lilly Grace Simpson of Rt. 1, Waveland died Friday evening in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. She has been seriouly ill since april 28. She was a Montgomery County resident nearly all her life. Born in this county Feb 5, 1892, she was a daughter of William and Nancy Coons Peters. She married Ray E. Simpson June 17, 1909 at New Market. He preceded her in death (1 Sept 1955). Mrs. Simpson was a member of Browns Valley Christian Church. Surviving are 7 sons, Bert of Hillsboro, Lowell of Waveland, Forrest of Russellville, Charles and Don of Waveland, Gerald of Ladoga and Austin of New Market; two daughters, Mrs. Doris Jefferies of Rt. 1, Ladoga and Mrs. Ruby Moody of Rt. 1, Waveland; 24 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Otto Nora Havercamp of Crawfordsville and mother-in-law, Mrs. Catherine Simpson of Crawfordsville. One sister is deceased. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Browns Valley Christian Church with Rev. Edward Dooley officiating. The body will lie in state at the church an hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Indian Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at Machledt & Servies Funeral Home in Waveland. == kbz
